CNNRadio to Discuss Supreme Court Nomination Process
Source: CNN PressRoom CNNRadio will air a special live one-hour program focusing on the upcoming Senate confirmation process for Judge John G. Roberts. The program will be hosted by CNNRadio anchor Stan Case for the nearly 2,000 CNNRadio affiliates.“The Road to the High Court” will air live Thursday, Aug. 25, from 2-3 p.m. (ET). Program participants will discuss how partisan politics plays a role in the Supreme Court nomination process. Scheduled guests include former Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork, Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), and Supreme Court historian David Yalof. The program will be produced by CNNRadio supervising producer Sherri Maksin.
“The road traveled by a Supreme Court nominee is a long winding one sometimes filled with revelations and scandals,” said Jerry DeMink, vice president, CNN News Services. “This CNNRadio program will provide affiliates an inside look at the nomination process from the point of view of former nominee Robert Bork with additional commentary from elected officials, historians and others.”
