Correspondent Brianna Keilar to Join CNN D.C. Bureau
Source: CNN Press Release Brianna Keilar becomes a general assignment correspondent for CNN effective immediately, it was announced today by David Bohrman, CNN’s Washington, D.C., bureau chief. Keilar will be based in the D.C. bureau.“Brianna’s strong reporting skills make her an asset to CNN,” Bohrman said. “She has gained tremendous experience with CNN Newsource and will have the opportunity to grow at CNN covering a wide variety of stories of national interest.”
Since February 2006, Keilar has been a correspondent for CNN Newsource, providing breaking news coverage and reports from the nation’s capital for about 800 CNN Newsource partner stations. Keilar joined CNN Newsource from CBS News where she served as an anchor, reporter and producer for mtvU, a newscast produced for MTV's college network. She was also a fill-in anchor on CBS News’ overnight newscast, Up to the Minute, and a freelance reporter for CBS Evening News Weekend Edition.
Prior to working for CBS, Keilar was a general assignment reporter in Yakima, Wash., for the CNN and CBS affiliate, KIMA-TV. During that same time, she also worked in radio as a morning show personality and weekend news reader. Keilar began her journalism career as a production assistant and intern at KTVU-TV, a CNN and FOX affiliate in San Francisco.
Keilar graduated Phi Beta Kappa with bachelor’s degrees in mass communications and psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.

Sanchez Named Carol Lin's Replacement
Source: CNN Press Release Rick Sanchez, a CNN anchor and correspondent, becomes the new prime-time weekend anchor for CNN Newsroom, it was announced today by Jon Klein, president of CNN/U.S. Sanchez, who is based in the network’s world headquarters in Atlanta, will also continue reporting for Anderson Cooper 360°.“When Rick is on camera, you’ve just got to watch,” Klein said. “His passion for the news and natural gift for storytelling will be a welcome addition to our weekend coverage.”

Have A Very Larry Christmas
