A Note From the Editor..
I have recieved several e-mails about my taking a week off from blogging. Well that announcement was made before I learned I might be getting a promotion at my part-time job. Within the next week I could be promoted to part-time assistant manager of the retail store I work at after I get out of school during the week. If the promotion comes through I will face a tough decision about my blog. I am not sure I will have time to blog should I get the promotion. The blog archives will always remain as I couldn't let my hard work over the last year just disappear. Anyway, I should know by the end of the week IF I receive the promotion.

Black Forecast for The Weather Channel
Source: E-Online Talk about your severe weather warning.Daily Show resident ranter and self-proclaimed weatherman watcher Lewis Black is blowing in to the Weather Channel.
The comic has been tapped to enliven the meteorologically minded basic cable staple, taping multiple segments that will begin airing late Wednesday night on Evening Edition with Dave Schwartz.
"I'm going to make my transition to weatherman soon," Black joked Tuesday via phone from his Manhattan apartment.
The comic, best known for his Thursday "Back in Black" diatribes on Comedy Central's The Daily Show, is the first of several celebrities the Atlanta-based Weather Channel hopes to recruit to shake up its typical servings of five-day forecasts and storm alerts. MORE

Roesgen Joins CNN as Gulf Coast Correspondent
Source: CNN Press Release Susan Roesgen, a veteran broadcaster with more than a decade of experience covering New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, joins CNN as a full-time correspondent assigned to the network’s new Gulf Coast bureau, it was announced today by Jack Womack, senior vice president of domestic news operations and administration for CNN/U.S.“My new role with CNN enables me to join the top news organization in the world while remaining based in a city I love: New Orleans,” Roesgen said. “I hope to give viewers a true and broad sense of the recovery efforts along the Gulf Coast in addition to providing the best reports on other news from the region.”
CNN opened CNN Gulf Coast in September to give the network a vantage point in covering the entire Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina. The bureau, one of 11 across the United States, is equipped to perform multiple live shots and supports all CNN networks, including CNN Newsource, the network’s syndicated news service.
Roesgen comes to CNN from WGNO-TV, where she has worked as the 10 p.m. news anchor since November 2003. For the past four years, she has also served as a host and reporter for a variety of broadcast and news outlets. Her projects included live field reports of rocket launches at Cape Canaveral, Fla.; hosting and production of a Pearl Harbor documentary for the National D-Day Museum; and reports for National Public Radio.
Roesgen moved to New Orleans in 1993 as a co-anchor of evening newscasts for WDSU-TV. She earned an Emmy award for a report on cemetery thefts and a state Associated Press award for a multi-part series on Israel. She left New Orleans for one year in 2001 to serve as co-anchor of National Geographic Today for the National Geographic Channel.
Her other anchoring duties have included stints with WABC-TV in New York City, KFMB-TV in San Diego and KATV-TV in Little Rock, Ark. Roesgen graduated with highest honors from Montana State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in English.

A Look Back at AB on AC 360
At the end of the first hour of the new Anderson Cooper 360, CNN aired a look back at Aaron Brown's time at CNN. In a way it felt more like one of those pre-packaged obit packages CNN runs when someone famous dies. The entire package ran for 3 minutes.

CNN Political Pundit Finished
Source: New York Post Robert Novak appears to be done at CNN.Novak, a longtime Washington insider and CNN player, has been off the air since last August — when he uttered an obscenity on the air and stalked off a live appearance.
The network suspended him immediately but has never said when he would again be back on CNN.
Novak has a contract with CNN that is said to expire in early 2006.
