An e-mailer dropped WHAC this note: "Just wanted you to know that in the September issue of Oprah Magazine, Oprah does a very long, rocking interview with Christiane Amanpour. She talks about the stories she's covered, she's proudest of her work in Bosnia, feels "shame" over not being able to cover Rwanda as it should have been, the things that make her happiest are her husband and son, she would like to have another child, but she's 47 1/2, and something I wouldn't expect, she is a Cream fan, she talks about seeing Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker & Jack Bruce at Royal Albert Hall.

One interesting quote, when Oprah asks her where she sees herself in 5 years, Christiane says "I don't rule anything in or out," she ends her answer saying "if we don't respect our profession and we see it frittering away into the realm of trivality and sensationalism, we'll lose our standing."

It's a great interview. There is also a picture of her with her son, Darius, although it was taken in July 2000 when he was 3 months old."
