Sex Abuse Suspect Caught Thanks to Grace

Source: KATU Shortly before 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 8, 2005, a fugitive wanted in Washington County was arrested in Pierce County, Washington. The tip that led to the fugitive's arrest came from a citizen.

A warrant for the arrest of then 60-year-old Donald Earl Crawford was issued in November of 2002, charging him with three counts of Child Sex Abuse. Detective Dawn Vandehey with the Washington County Sheriff's Office sought the warrant.

On Wednesday night June 8, 2005 CNN Headline News ran Crawford's picture during the Nancy Grace Show. A citizen recognized Crawford and the FBI was notified. A short time, later an FBI agent and a detective with the Pierce County Sheriff's Office arrested Crawford at a care facility in the Tacoma area. He was taken into custody without incident.
