Guess Who Paid the 'Runaway Bride' for her Story?

Source: Newshounds The Runaway Bride, Jennifer Wilbanks, just made a $500,000 deal with Regan Media, a subsidiary of News Corp, for the rights to her life story. John Kasich discussed this surprising development on Heartland last night disclosing the connection between Regan Media and News Corp.to viewers. Steve Malzberg and Martha Zoller joined Kasich for the discussion and nobody had a positive word to say about the situation.

Since Wilbanks already made an agreement with the City of Duluth to pay a certain amount before she signed this deal, she is not liable for anything more. Malzberg talked about the need for a Son of Sam Law that would prohibit anyone from profiting from a crime. Zoller mentioned that Wilbanks phoney disappearance prevented the Duluth Policeman from attending the funeral of one of their own. It seems the people of Duluth are not too happy with Wilbanks these days.
