Grace Goes Home for Book Signing
Source: Macon Telegraph The parking lot was full, the aisles were jammed, and more than 300 people gripped slips of paper telling them how long they'd wait to meet a hometown girl made good.
Some Middle Georgians picked up their numbers seven hours beforehand to assure a place at the front of the line to meet Nancy Grace, Court TV and CNN celebrity, as she signed copies of her new book "Objection!" at Books-A-Million in Macon.
Grace spoke briefly to enthusiastic cheers. "It's just so good to be home," said the Macon native. "People say I have this great view at my little apartment in New York. I can see the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building ... but what I want to see is a pine tree or a soybean field."
Grace earned her law degree at Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law and her parents still live in Macon. A regular on Court TV and "Larry King Live," she now has a legal analysis show named after her on CNN Headline News. (Grace told fans Sunday, "My mama always says, 'You shouldn't interrupt Larry King.' ")
Her new book details the now-famous history of how she became a highly successful Atlanta prosecutor, fueled by frustration with the legal system after the murder of her fiancee, Keith Griffin. MORE
