"90 Second Pop" is History
Source: Variety CNN is planning to cancel its AM pop culture and entertainment report, "90 Second Pop," as part of its revamp of "American Morning."
Daily segment features CNN pop culture correspondent Toure, humorist Andy Borowitz and a rotating cast of magazine editors dissecting entertainment topics such as the big opening weekend for the latest "Star Wars" pic, Tom CruiseTom Cruise in love and the "Desperate Housewives" season finale.
Move is part of a broader repositioning of "American Morning" as a newsier alternative to softer shows on network TV.
A CNN spokeswoman declined to comment.
