CNN to Throw a 25th Anniversary Shin-dig

Sounds like a rockin' little party is planned to celebrate CNN's 25th birthday. The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle is running an article touting a local band that will be providing some of the music.

"On Wednesday, CNN's 25th anniversary bash at the World Congress Center in Atlanta will feature Rochester's Nik and the Nice Guys, slated to play a 25-year retrospective of pop hits before bringing out the headline act, legendary soul duo Hall and Oates."

The paper is reporting some 2,000 people, including Ted Turner and former President Bill Clinton, will be there joining in the festivities.

The paper also says,"It isn't yet known when CNN will cut to the concert action during Wednesday's evening programming, which also includes the two-part special Defining Moments: 25 Stories That Touched Our Lives, from 8 to 9 p.m. and 10 to 11 p.m. "
