CNN and MedPage Today Announce Innovative Partnership
Source: Pharma Live CNN.com and MedPage Today have launched a unique partnership that makes physician-reviewed, in-depth medical news available to more than 20-million unique visitors from CNN.com each month (including over 500,000 healthcare professionals).
MedPage Today is a news service designed for the medical professional and Expert Patient(TM) audience that offers in-depth medical news reporting and links consumer medical news and the professional medical analysis needed by clinicians. CNN.com will include links to relevant MedPage Today medical news from the CNN.com health section, providing CNN.com users some of the same information on developing medical stories that their doctors are reading.
"Our partnership with MedPage Today helps to enhance the delivery of top- quality content to CNN.com users," said Mitch Gelman, Senior Vice President and Executive Producer, CNN.com. "Our readers are highly engaged and appreciate in-depth reporting on stories they care about."
As part of the agreement, links to MedPage Today's contextually relevant medical news content will be available from CNN.com's health section. MedPage Today will also develop custom content for CNN.com, including two weekly columns: "Medical Journal Roundup" and "Profiles in Medicine." MedPage Today will also feature links on its news website, http://www.medpagetoday.com/ , to CNN.com's health section, thereby providing its audience with better insight into the health news coverage by the mass media.
