Anchor/Reporter Go Round Friday
What a nice and pleasant surprise to see Fredricka Whitfield anchoring News From CNN. ALSO looks as though CNN continues to try to find fill-ins for the White House beat as National Correspondent Bob Franken is doing the duty today. Something tells me MORE of the "star anchors" just might have the day off so they can get an early start to the holiday weekend.
ALMOST FORGOT: Former full-time CNN Met Jill Brown is covering the weather desk today. Come on CNN, you let Orelon Sidney get away from ya, snatch Jill up and give her a full-time job!!
Additional: 12:58pm EDT This from an e-mailer: "Wolf had mentioned yesterday during a segment on holiday weekend travel that he'd be heading to LA for the weekend. I wouldn't be surprised to see her (Fred) on the air more than usual this weekend.
Franken's been covering quite a few Washington-based stories of late - he's often been on just after 6:30 on Daybreak."
UPDATE: 5:00pm EDT John King is in the anchor chair anchoring Wolf Blitzer Reports.
UPDATE: 05/28 12:21am EDT Just caught a few minutes of the rerun of Larry King Live and Larry King had the night off. Ryan Seacrest subbed and interviewed some of the folks from American Idol. Oh yea let's promote a show that is on a RUPERT MURDOCH channel. Makes alot of sense to me.
