Candy Crowley, Producers Honored


Source: CNN Pressroom CNN senior political correspondent Candy Crowley and senior producers Michael Roselli and Sasha Johnson were the recipients of the 2005 Joan S. Barone Award for excellence in journalism on Wednesday, April 6, at the 61st Annual Radio & Television Correspondents’ Association dinner. They were honored for their work covering the 2004 presidential campaign. Crowley also received the award in 1997 for her coverage of the presidential campaign of former Sen. Bob Dole.

The award is given each year to honor the memory of the late Joan Shorenstein Barone, former executive producer of CBS News’ Face the Nation, and is presented for excellence in Washington, D.C.-based national affairs and public policy reporting.

She came to CNN from NBC News in 1987.
