Where Are They Now
Today we feature former CNN International correspondent Steve Harrigan. Harrigan spent 10 years as a CNN correspondent based in Moscow where he reported from inside the Kremlin when then Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev resigned in 1991, and covered the Chechen War extensively for the network. During his tenure with the network, the Moscow bureau received the Peabody, DuPont, and Kaplan Awards for excellence in reporting. A graduate of Duke University, Harrigan holds a Ph.D. in comparative literature and is fluent in Russian. So what's Steve doing now? Well you may remember before the war in Afganistan got underway he reported for CNN, BUT at the time Harrigan was working for CNN without a contract and Fox News needed someone in Afganistan SO FNC signed Harrigan on and that's where he remains today. CNN should have it's butt whooped for letting Harrigan get grabbed up.
