CNN's "On the Story" Profiled
Source: Chicago Sun Times "On the Story" celebrates its second anniversary in January. What makes this live 60-minute insider look at the big news stories of the week different is that the rotating ensemble of CNN anchors, correspondents and producers is all female, all the time.
"On the Story" (which airs at 9 a.m. Chicago time) operates on a set designed to look like a living room; there is a couch and comfortable chairs. The attire is professional, but casual; lots of black pants and dressy tops. But it is not "The View" with news (though as does the ABC talk show, each woman takes a turn anchoring a segment). There is no girlfriend chitchat, no dwelling on personal stuff and certainly no Star Jones chatter about weddings. MORE
