Take Interactive Swipe at News At CNN.com

Source: CNN Pressroom With a single click, CNN.com users can decide the punchline of “Cartoon Clicks,” a new cartoon feature that allows site visitors to view cartoons that reflect their position on a particular topic or issue, one that opposes it or one a bit off the beaten path.

Mike Mikula, a cartoonist whose work appears in the Atlanta Business Chronicle and in the comic strip “Rotundarama” in Roll Call, creates these interactive cartoons exclusively for CNN.com. A single cartoon from Mikula might reinforce a point of view, challenge an established opinion or turn conventional wisdom on its head.

“Cartoon Clicks provides a new take on the classic editorial cartoon unique to online news. It puts the perspective of the cartoon at the CNN.com user’s command,” said Mitch Gelman, senior vice president and executive producer of CNN.com. “Relying on Mike’s multi-faceted wit and the interactivity the Web allows, it offers a fun, insightful look each week at current domestic, international and pop culture subjects.” MORE
